deploy static html/css/js
plain html, css and js. no build, no manifest, straight to the edge.
the whole thing
curl -fsSL https://pushto.host/install | sh # or: brew install mydude-industries/tap/pushto · npm i -g @pushto/cli pushto login pushto init my-site pushto
that last bare pushto is the deploy. on windows, the install line is irm https://pushto.host/install.ps1 | iex in powershell. live at https://<your-name>.pushto.host with https. no build at all. files are served fast wherever your visitors are. the free tier covers this: one project, live on a pushto.host subdomain.
how we know it's static html/css/js
- only static files: html, css, js, images, fonts, video, json and friends
- no package.json, requirements.txt, go.mod, Cargo.toml or Gemfile anywhere in the folder. any of those makes it a project that needs building
what happens when you push
- files upload as they are and are served fast wherever your visitors are
sharp edges
- put an index.html at the root. that is the front door
deploying from an agent?
claude code and cursor can run all of this for you: connect your agent. the short machine-readable version of this site lives at https://pushto.host/llms.txt.
something off? run pushto doctor, or see all supported frameworks.
